After 10 years of being at the helm of piloting Sub-Saharan Africa’s No. 1 job and recruitment firm, Adedeji Adewunmi, the CEO and co-founder of Jobberman has called it quits to focus on a new love, Venture Investment.
‘Deji’, as fondly called by colleagues and friends is an Alumni of the great Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. Together with his friends in School, Opeyemi Awoyemi and Olalekan Olude, he built a platform that has grown to be the one-stop destination for employers and jobseekers in Nigeria and the diaspora.
According to the 2006 Inaugural Malaria Awards recipient and graduate of Medicine and Surgery, Ayodeji,
“It is truly overwhelming but I have the comfort of knowing I leave Jobberman in better hands than my own. It is such an incredible feeling and honour to experience what you founded take a life of its own. I think it is great timing to say goodbye and explore what is next. I will remain close to the company and have full faith in the team and new management to continue to solve Nigeria’s recruitment needs.”
In the meantime, Matthew Page, the Head of Jobs at Ringier One Africa Media (ROAM), the parent (group) company of Jobberman, takes over as CEO. Commenting on Deji’s exit, he said:

Jobberman was founded in August, 2009 and will celebrate her 10 years anniversary this year.
